Chris Lawson Excavation HistoryChris Lawson came to San Juan Island in 1972. At the age of twelve, he started working before and after school for the Lawson family excavation company. After completing school Chris began to work full time. In 1982 he took a break from his job in excavation to commercial fish in Alaska. In 1995 Chris and his wife, Sherry decided to start their own excavation Company. Their company started with three pieces of used equipment and their kitchen table doubling as their office. Between starting their own business and raising three sons Chris and Sherry had their hands full. It was Chris and Sherry’s will to be successful that pushed them through. Since then, their company has grown and Chris Lawson Excavation has become a well-respected excavation company on the San Juan Island.
